Home-made,

natural deodorant

Commercial deodorants and antiperspirants contain a lot of harmful chemicals, which combined with the armpit's sensitive skin and natural absorption tendencies, can do a lot of long-term harm.

This area of the body is surrounded by important lymph nodes and glands that should always be kept clear of harmful chemicals – such as aluminum, parabens and phthalates, which tend to "clog-up" and overload the glands.

In order for this home-made deodorant to be effective, we highly recommend you first try our "Armpit Detox" for at least one week's time ~ you'll be surprised at the dirt that is removed as your armpits are cleared of years and years of un-natural chemical absorption!  Please don't ever use anti-perspirant again... the body NEEDS and MUST sweat to detoxify and control body temperature. So go ahead and sweat! Just keep it clean and non-smelly

(ps: your body will smell less, the cleaner you eat!)

This easy home-made deodorant recipe is very inexpensive and can be stored for up to six months (unless  you choose to keep it in the fridge, then it will keep longer!)

Ingredients

  • 8 Tablespoons of organic coconut oil (in its solid state)

  • 1/2 Tablespoon of aluminum-free baking soda

  • 1 Tablespoon arrow-root powder (natural corn starch)

  • 5 drops of Tea Tree oil

  • 5 drops of lavender oil (or preferred scent for essential oil)

Instructions

  • Combine first 3 ingredients in a bowl and mix well until the consistency is 'creamy'

  • add tea tree oil and mix well, using the back of a spoon to smooth out any lumps

  • add essential oils for scent ~ such as lemongrass, lavender, geranium, etc.

  • since coconut oil will 'melt' slightly when mixed, it will be easier to pour or scoop final product into a glass container or small Mason jar.

How to use

  • Be sure to have clean armpits before applying this natural deodorant mixture. Otherwise, wash well with warm water and a dab of baking soda, rinsing well and drying completely before application

  • Using a couple of fingers, apply a pea-sized amount of the mix to the armpit and rubbing in slightly and gently, in a circular motion

  • allow to 'dry off' slightly before putting on clothes

NOTE: Use the best quality ingredients you can find!

Visit your local health store or supermarket "health" zone and be sure to buy the most natural ingredients, such as Baking Soda without Aluminum and naturally-based cornstarch, organic coconut oil and pure organic essential oils. All others most likely will still contain unnecessary ingredients.
